I went to the gas station earlier to get a pack of cigarettes and ironically, I came across this...

now the reverse side....

All together is says:
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
LET CONGRESS KNOW TARGETING SMOKERS WITH A $6.10 A CARTRON TAX HIKE IS GOING TOO FAR!
SAY NO TO HIGHER CIGARETTE TAXES! VISIT

STAND UP AND SPEAK OUT
STATE AND FEDERAL CIGARETTE TAXES HAVE BEEN RAISED 73 TIMES SINCE THE YEAR 20000 - INCREASING THE AVERAGE PRICE OF CIGARETTES 80% A PACK.
EVERYONE SHOULD PAY THEIR SHARE OF TAXES - BUT IT'S UNFAIR TO SINCLE OUT SMOKERS ONCES AGAIN FOR A 156% TAX INCREASE.
TELL CONCRESS THEY'RE GOING TOO FAR.
and get this!
PAID FOR BY PHILIP MORRIS USA
Philip Morris is one of the main distributers for cigarettes. I think the only reason why they don't want congress to jack up the prices, is because the higher the prices, the more people will quit smoking all together. That means that Philip Morris will decrease in sales and somewhere down the road, go out of bussiness.
I may be a smoker for the last 22 years, but it doesn't mean that I disagree with congress on this one either.
Since I can't seem to quit smoking on my own, I feel that if the prices go up so rediculously, then that would be a good thing for me because it will force me to quit since I can't seem to do it any other way at this time.
Besides, I would feel better about myself and so would everyone else around me!
